Tragic Fratricide in Italy: Brother Kills Younger Sibling and Displays Body via Video Call

The victim, Nayan Fakir, was allegedly attacked with a sharp weapon by his brother, Humayun Fakir, in the city of Lecce, Italy. Both brothers were residents of Sonarang area in Tongibari Upazila, Munshiganj. According to sources, a heated argument escalated on Wednesday night, leading Humayun to fatally stab Nayan, who succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

The tragedy took a more gruesome turn when the accused, Humayun, contacted his family back in Bangladesh via a video call immediately after the murder. During the call, he reportedly showed his relatives the blood-stained body of his brother and confessed to the crime. The family members were left in profound shock and grief after witnessing the lifeless body of their loved one on the screen. Local Italian police have since apprehended Humayun Fakir, and he remains in custody. The grieving family is now appealing to the authorities to expedite the process of bringing Nayan’s remains back to Bangladesh.
