Preliminary investigations revealed that various electronic items, including a mobile phone and a Bluetooth device, were seized from the examinee. Center officials conducted an immediate search after noticing the individual's suspicious behavior. During the search, an electronic device was found inside the examinee's ear. He was subsequently detained for questioning.

The Acting Principal of Tejgaon College, Shamima Yasmin, told the media, “The examinee has been expelled from the center, and legal action is being taken against him. Necessary measures have been implemented in accordance with the rules to maintain the transparency and discipline of the examination.” She further mentioned that the relevant administration and the BJSC have been informed, and a team from the commission was also present at the scene.

Experts note that fraud using electronic devices in competitive examinations has been on the rise recently. Consequently, surveillance is being intensified at all examination centers. Such incidents can undermine the integrity of students, the pursuit of justice, and the overall transparency of the examination system.
