Attempted Murder Case: Former Anti-Discrimination Leader Riyad Placed on 2-Day Remand
The order was passed on Thursday (March 5) by Dhaka Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Md. Shefatullah.
According to the case statement filed by Nirjan Sardar Badhon, the incident occurred last Thursday on the university premises. It is alleged that following a prior dispute, the accused attacked Nirjan. Under Razzak's instructions, other associates assaulted him with chairs, while Razzak himself allegedly used a switchblade to inflict a serious injury on Nirjan's face. Gulshan police arrived at the scene and detained the suspects immediately.
It is worth noting that Razzak had previously been arrested in an extortion case involving a former MP’s residence and was out on bail before being apprehended for this latest incident.
