Acknowledging that skyrocketing ticket prices and travel costs have made it nearly impossible for many ordinary fans to attend matches in person, the officials announced the establishment of free "Fan Zones" across five iconic locations in the city. These zones will feature giant screens broadcasting live matches, ensuring the World Cup fever reaches every corner of the community.

Under this initiative, massive screens will be installed at Manhattan’s Rockefeller Center, the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center in Queens, Brooklyn Bridge Park, areas surrounding the Yankee Stadium in the Bronx, and a baseball stadium on Staten Island. These venues are expected to host thousands of fans in a festive atmosphere. While the tournament’s final and several other crucial matches are scheduled to take place at the MetLife Stadium in New Jersey, New York City’s initiative is being hailed as a landmark step in mitigating the financial burden on local spectators.

In addition to the free public viewings, a special fan event has been organized at the Sports Illustrated Stadium in Harrison, New Jersey. Although this particular venue will charge a $10 entry fee, admission will be free for children under the age of 12. According to reports by ESPN, similar fan zone projects are being planned in other major U.S. cities beyond New York. These initiatives aim to ensure that even those without stadium tickets can become an integral part of the historic moments of the first-ever 48-team World Cup hosted across North America.
