According to a report by Lebanon’s state-owned National News Agency (NNA), the town of Yohmor al-Shaqif in the Nabatieh district is currently enduring severe artillery shelling. The heavy bombardment has caused significant damage to the town's infrastructure and sparked widespread panic among the civilian population. Correspondents monitoring the situation reported that the artillery barrages were immediately followed by precision drone strikes in the same area.

The border district of Nabatieh has long been a flashpoint in the ongoing conflict. Local sources confirmed that Israeli artillery units began launching a series of strikes early Saturday morning, April 25, 2026. The subsequent drone attacks reportedly caused massive explosions at specific targets. As of now, Lebanon's Ministry of Public Health has not released official figures regarding the number of casualties or the full extent of the property damage resulting from these latest strikes.

Tensions between Israel and the Lebanese armed group Hezbollah have escalated dramatically in recent weeks. Despite repeated calls for restraint from the international community, air and ground assaults in Nabatieh and surrounding districts show no signs of abating. Military experts warn that the increased use of combat drones in residential areas is heightening risks for civilians and pushing the region toward further instability.
