Speaking to reporters after the committee's first meeting on Tuesday night, President Tamim Iqbal emphasized that his primary mission is to restore the reputation of Bangladesh cricket. He acknowledged that the board's image has suffered over the past year and a half and stressed the importance of collective effort to bring back the sport's prestige.

"We want to create an environment where everyone associated with the BCB can feel proud again," Tamim stated. He highlighted that while criticism is inevitable, the goal is to move past the current stagnation. The new committee, which includes prominent figures like Minhajul Abedin, Athar Ali Khan, and Tanzil Chowdhury, aims to foster respect for players and stakeholders alike. Tamim expressed his commitment to learning from past mistakes and steering the board toward a transparent and professional future.
