"Bangladesh is Strong at Home": Shaheen Afridi Shows Respect Ahead of Series

Speaking at the pre-match press conference on Tuesday (March 10), Afridi remarked that every team excels in their own conditions and Bangladesh has recently shown their strength by defeating the West Indies. However, he emphasized that Pakistan is well-prepared and aims to maintain the winning momentum they built in recent series against South Africa and Sri Lanka.

The Pakistan squad features six uncapped players, while veteran batter Babar Azam is notably absent. Afridi clarified that this move is not about dropping players but rather focusing on the future by giving youngsters a chance to prove their skills before the World Cup. Addressing the threat of Mustafizur Rahman on Mirpur’s tricky surface, Afridi expressed confidence that his batters, having faced 'The Fizz' in the PSL and other T20 formats, will handle the challenge effectively. He concluded by stating that the best possible XI will take the field tomorrow, tailored to the pitch conditions and team requirements.
