Siddons is well-known in the international circuit, particularly for his stint as the head coach of the Bangladesh men's national team from 2007 to 2011, a period widely regarded as his most significant coaching experience.

A Level-3 certified coach and a former captain in Australian first-class cricket, Siddons has previously coached teams like the Wellington Firebirds in New Zealand and South Australia’s Redbacks. His primary objective in this new role will be preparing the Sri Lankan squad for the ICC Women's T20 World Cup, scheduled to take place in England in June 2026. Interestingly, his first assignment will be a tour of Bangladesh in April-May 2026 for a limited-overs series against the hosts.
