Joining Politics was Shakib's Mistake; He Should be Forgiven: Khaled Mashud Pilot

Speaking at the Rajshahi Divisional Stadium on Thursday (February 26), Pilot stated that while Shakib’s decision to join politics was a mistake, he believes in the principle that "to err is human" and called for the star all-rounder to be forgiven.

Addressing the murder case filed against Shakib, Pilot expressed skepticism, stating it is highly unlikely for a cricketer of Shakib's stature to be involved in such an incident. He urged the state to resolve the legal matters fairly and restore the cricketer's dignity.

"As a fan, I pray that Shakib can retire while wearing the national jersey," Pilot added. The BCB is currently working with the government to clear the legal hurdles for Shakib’s return to the national team.
