He argued that instead of worrying about a future that is beyond control, it is more important to focus on the present and strive for improvement in available platforms. He questioned the excessive anxiety of critics, reminding them that when life itself is uncertain, obsessing over a tournament is unnecessary.

The controversy began when Mustafizur Rahman was sidelined from the IPL despite his high price tag, leading to a standoff where Bangladesh raised security concerns about playing in India. When the ICC rejected the proposal to host Bangladesh's matches in a neutral venue like Sri Lanka, the team was replaced by Scotland. Regarding Mustafizur’s reaction to these events, Salahuddin shared that the pacer is taking it sportingly. Mustafizur reportedly told the coach that he is not bothered by things he cannot control—an attitude Salahuddin believes every cricketer should adopt to maintain mental clarity and focus on their game.

In the absence of the World Cup, the BCB has organized the "Odommo T20 Cup" to keep the national players match-fit. Serving as the head coach of the Dhumketu Ekadash, Salahuddin emphasized that this tournament is highly significant as the country's top cricketers are participating. For him, the priority now is to utilize this domestic platform to enhance the skills of the players and keep them in rhythm, rather than grieving over the World Cup snub. He concluded by reiterating that professional excellence lies in performing at one's best in the current situation rather than dwelling on what could have been.
