Bangladesh Women’s Team Secures Spot in T20 World Cup

On Wednesday, the result of the Super Six match between the Netherlands and the USA confirmed Bangladesh’s entry into the main event with two matches to spare.

In the rain-affected encounter, the USA batted first and posted 129 runs for 7 wickets. In response, the Netherlands reached 90 for 2 in 12 overs before rain halted play. Under the DLS method, the Netherlands was eventually declared the winner by 21 runs.

With this victory, the Netherlands also qualified for the World Cup. As both teams now hold 6 points, Bangladesh's spot in the mega event is confirmed. Meanwhile, Scotland and Ireland remain frontrunners for the remaining qualifying spots.

The Women’s T20 World Cup is scheduled to take place this June-July in England and Wales.
