Hridoy’s century powers Rangpur to comfortable win over Noakhali
Isakhil scored an unbeaten 107 off 72 balls to take Noakhali to 173. Rangpur responded with a dominant chase as Hridoy smashed 109 off 63 deliveries.
The win takes Rangpur to 12 points and third place on the table. A bigger margin could have pushed them into second, but they fell short on net run rate.
While Dawid Malan started cautiously, Hridoy accelerated from the fourth over, reaching his half-century in just 27 balls. After Malan’s dismissal, Hridoy continued the charge alongside Liton Das.
Hridoy brought up his hundred with 14 fours and two sixes off 57 balls before falling with Rangpur just nine runs from victory. Liton Das stayed unbeaten on 39 off 35 balls to finish the match.
With this knock, Hridoy is now the leading run-scorer of the tournament, amassing 378 runs in 10 innings.
