Despite a telephone conversation between the BCB President and the players this evening, the stalemate regarding Nazmul's controversial remarks remains unresolved.

The striking players have made it clear that they will only return to the field tomorrow if Nazmul Islam issues a formal apology on social media. However, the board has termed this demand "impossible" to fulfill. This standoff has already severely impacted the Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), leading to the cancellation of today's scheduled matches due to the players' boycott.

In an attempt to de-escalate the situation, the BCB removed Nazmul from his post as Chairman of the Finance Committee earlier this afternoon. However, the players remain firm in their stance, demanding a public apology or his complete resignation from the board before they resume playing.
