According to his medical timeline, Mirza Abbas showed a positive sign of recovery on April 10 at the Singapore General Hospital, where he was able to sit up in bed for the first time. Doctors later assisted him in sitting in a chair, and he has begun to speak, which is seen as a significant milestone in his healing process. On April 14, he was moved to a specialized rehabilitation center in Malaysia for advanced physiotherapy. His private assistant secretary, Mizanur Rahman Sohel, stated that he is now out of danger and is undergoing intensive therapy to fully regain his physical strength.
The Member of Parliament for the Dhaka-8 constituency fell ill suddenly and lost consciousness during Iftar on March 11. Following initial treatment at Evercare Hospital in Dhaka, he was flown to Singapore by air ambulance on March 15 as his complications intensified.
