Speaking at a joining ceremony held on Friday afternoon, April 24, 2026, at the Diploma Engineers Institute in the capital, he warned that if any attempt is made to sustain fascism or autocracy, the people of the country will once again organize under the leadership of the NCP.

Nahid Islam alleged that the current administration is deviating from the aspirations of state reform that emerged following the July mass uprising. He remarked that the recent election was promised to be a mandate for systemic reform rather than a mere change of power. However, he claimed that the government is now disregarding the public mandate of the referendum and systematically canceling critical reform proposals, including constitutional changes.

Criticizing the return of "power politics" on university campuses and the ongoing trend of political appointments in state bodies, the NCP leader emphasized that his party's primary goal remains creating employment for the youth and building a dignified state free from discrimination. He noted that the National Citizen Party is receiving a widespread response from the public across the country and is being developed as a robust democratic platform to safeguard the people's interests.
