BNP to Start Selling Nomination Forms for Reserved Women’s Seats from Friday
Senior Joint Secretary General and Advisor to the Prime Minister, Ruhul Kabir Rizvi, announced on Thursday (April 9) that the forms will be available at the party’s central office in Nayapaltan. Interested candidates can collect and submit their forms from 11:00 AM daily until the deadline on April 12.
This development follows the Election Commission’s (EC) announcement of the official schedule on Wednesday (April 8), which slate the election for May 12. According to the seat allocation, the BNP and its allies have been allotted 36 seats, while Jamaat-e-Islami and its partners will receive 13 seats. One seat has been reserved for independent candidates. As per the EC schedule, the final date for submitting nomination papers is April 21, with symbol allocation set for April 30, leading up to the polls in mid-May.
