Sparks Fly in Parliament: Opposition Leader Claims Partha’s Arguments 'Backfired'
During Tuesday’s session, BJP Chairman Barrister Partha questioned why a "Revolutionary Government" was not formed following the events of August 5. He argued that attempting to scrap the entire constitution while operating under its current framework is inconsistent. Partha further suggested that those seeking to discard the 1972 Constitution are aligned with "anti-liberation forces."
This prompted a stern rebuttal from Cumilla-4 MP Hasnat Abdullah. He criticized the alignment of constitutional reformists with anti-liberation elements. Addressing the ministers on the treasury bench who cheered for Partha, Hasnat questioned whether their support indirectly insulted Begum Zia, given her long-standing political stance on these issues.
