Speaking at the Manipur School and College ground in Mirpur, Dr. Rahman questioned the logic behind allowing general elections while restricting referendums, asking, "If voting is permissible, why is a referendum forbidden?" He noted that the 'July Charter' has been taken into account by the Speaker and warned that if these issues are not resolved in Parliament, the public would take to the streets to demand their rights.

Addressing the home-bound rush, he accused the government of failing to control bus fares and transport harassment. Dr. Rahman also extended his solidarity to the people of Gaza and Iran, praying for the victory of the oppressed against ongoing atrocities.
