Mirza Abbas Undergoes Emergency Brain Surgery; Taken to OT Following Health Decline
Dr. Rafiqul Islam, BNP’s Health Affairs Secretary, confirmed that the decision was made after a morning CT scan showed a decline in his condition. Following an urgent virtual meeting of neuro-specialists and with the family's consent, Mirza Abbas was taken to the Operation Theater (OT) at 3:10 PM today at Evercare Hospital in the capital.
The medical board comprises renowned experts including Dr. Kazi Deen Mohammad, Dr. Shahabuddin Talukdar, and Dr. Raziul Haque, among others. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman visited Evercare Hospital after Jumma prayers to personally inquire about the surgery and discuss the treatment plan with the doctors. Mirza Abbas was hospitalized on Wednesday night after losing consciousness during Iftar.
