An individual identifying himself as a 'July Fighter' publicly demanded an explanation regarding the distribution of flood relief funds collected during his tenure. The person accused Asif Mahmud of being a "terrorist" and a "mob-leader," questioning the source of his allegedly lavish lifestyle and luxury vehicles. A video of the confrontation has since gone viral on social media, showing a chaotic scene at the NCP event.

The disgruntled individual further alleged that Asif Mahmud and his associates had neglected the "July Fighters" who were at the forefront of the recent mass movement. While the video does not capture a direct response from Asif Mahmud to these specific allegations, the NCP leader proceeded to announce a three-day Eid festival in the capital, featuring a traditional Eid procession. The NCP stated that the event would be organized through public donations and invited young volunteers to join their sub-committees for the implementation of the festivities.
