Mamunul Huq Meets Myanmar Ambassador to Discuss Rohingya Repatriation

The meeting took place at the Myanmar Embassy in Dhaka, where a delegation led by Mamunul Huq discussed various bilateral issues, with the repatriation of Rohingya refugees being the primary focus of the conversation.

During the discussion, Allama Mamunul Huq emphasized that a sustainable and dignified solution to the Rohingya crisis is essential for strengthening the relationship between the two neighboring countries. He expressed hope that with the formation of the new government in Myanmar, effective and practical steps would be taken to ensure the safe and honorable return of the displaced population currently residing in Bangladesh.

The Myanmar Ambassador assured the delegation that his government views the issue with significant importance. He promised to convey the points raised during the meeting to his higher authorities in Myanmar. Both parties agreed on the importance of continued dialogue to achieve progress on these critical humanitarian and diplomatic concerns.
