Former NCC Mayor Ivy Shown Arrested in Worker Murder Case

Additional SP Tareq Al Mehdi confirmed on Friday that she was implicated in the murder case of Selim Mondal, filed with Siddhirganj Police Station.

According to the case files, Selim Mondal and two other workers tragically died in a fire at a private bank in the Chittagong Road area on July 20, 2024. Following an investigation, the police moved a petition to show Ivy arrested in this case, which the court subsequently granted.

Although Ivy secured bail from the High Court yesterday in several other cases filed with Fatullah and Sadar Model police stations, she remains in custody. Since her arrest from her residence in May last year, the former mayor has been facing a series of legal challenges across multiple cases.
