Nahid Islam Demands Impeachment and Arrest of President Sahabuddin
He made this statement while talking to reporters after paying respects to the martyrs of the Pillkhana massacre at the Banani Military Graveyard on Wednesday afternoon (February 25).
Nahid Islam alleged that President Sahabuddin failed to take any effective measures to stop the genocide during the July Revolution of 2024. Claiming that the President cannot escape accountability for the massacre, Nahid Islam insisted that the 13th Parliament must initiate impeachment proceedings in its very first session, followed by his arrest and trial. He further remarked that the Pillkhana tragedy was a deep-seated conspiracy to weaken the nation and called for a transparent trial to safeguard national sovereignty.
