Police Seize Flags of Banned Awami League

According to reports, several individuals gathered at Sarishahati intersection in the town and raised both the national and party flags before chanting slogans. They left the scene shortly afterward, leaving the flags behind.

The viral video shows former district science and technology affairs secretary Shafiqul Rahman Mamun along with several other activists.

After the footage spread online, members of Naogaon Sadar Model Police Station visited the location and seized the national and party flags.

Officer-in-Charge Niamul Haque said the activists took advantage of the early morning when the streets were largely empty. Police acted upon receiving information and removed the flags from the site.
