In a post shared on his verified Facebook page on Tuesday (February 17), he wrote that those who arranged the power-sharing deal and those who accepted it now stand on one side, while the people stand on the other. He urged an end to what he characterized as theatrical opposition.

Expressing disappointment, particularly regarding students, Alam claimed they had been “sold out at a low price.” He further alleged that legitimate public demands could be overshadowed through PR campaigns and media manipulation.

He concluded his statement with a prayer seeking protection for the people of the country.
