BNP Calls Parliamentary Party Meeting After Oath-taking Ceremony

On Monday (February 16), BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmed confirmed the information.

He stated that the meeting will be held at the Parliament Building on Tuesday (February 17), immediately after the oath-taking ceremony, at 11:30 AM.

Salahuddin Ahmed mentioned that during the meeting, a parliamentary leader will be elected. As the leader of the majority party, BNP Chairman Tarique Rahman will be the Prime Minister, God willing.

It is worth noting that the 13th National Parliamentary Election was held on Thursday (February 12), and the Election Commission published the results for 297 seats on Friday (February 13). The 297 newly elected Members of Parliament will take their oath at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, with Chief Election Commissioner A M M Nasir Uddin administering the oath.

After the oath-taking ceremony, the new cabinet will take its oath at the South Plaza of the Parliament in the afternoon.
