He claimed that results were withheld at several polling centers and that there is evidence of result sheet alterations in some constituencies. Referring to specific alliance candidates, he questioned what he described as inconsistent decisions in similar cases, asking whether “two sets of laws” could operate in one country.
Dr. Rahman expressed hope that the Election Commission would ensure justice but said the party would announce further programs if grievances remain unresolved. “If compelled, we will take to the streets,” he stated.
In the 13th National Parliamentary Election, the Bangladesh Nationalist Party-led alliance is moving toward forming the government with 212 seats, according to unofficial results. The Jamaat-led 11-party alliance secured 77 seats, while other parties and independent candidates won 8 seats.
