Tarique Rahman Urges Nation to Remain Vigilant Against Election Conspiracies
He warned the nation to be alert so that no conspiratorial force could hijack the people's mandate or manipulate the election results. Addressing the voters, he stated that everyone must remain watchful to ensure that the public's will is not confined by any "dummy" electoral process or deceptive tactics.
On the same day, Tarique Rahman addressed another rally at Pallabi’s Lal Maat in support of Dhaka-16 candidate Aminul Haque. Without naming any specific party, he remarked that a certain group has historically acted against the interests of the people and is currently attempting to mislead voters using fake seals and collecting NID information. He clarified that the BNP does not wish to present unrealistic promises but is committed to implementing practical plans that will truly change people's lives. Criticizing the development model of the past 16 years, he noted that while "Mega Projects" filled the pockets of a few individuals, the general public saw no real improvement in their standard of living.
Outlining the party's vision if they form the government, Tarique Rahman announced several key initiatives aimed at public welfare. He declared the introduction of a "Family Card" for every housewife to provide direct government assistance and a "Farmer Card" to waive agricultural loans up to 10,000 BDT. To address youth unemployment, he promised to establish vocational and IT training centers in every district. Furthermore, he pledged to reintroduce the canal-digging program initiated by Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman to solve Dhaka’s waterlogging, build a modern hospital in the Mirpur area, and provide permanent housing for the displaced. He concluded by issuing a stern warning against corruption, vowing to ensure the benefits of development reach every citizen.
