"Cast Your Valuable Vote for 'Dhaner Sheesh' and 'Yes'": Asif Akbar
He noted that while the people had lost faith in their voting rights over the last two decades, the "July Revolution of '24" has restored that power to the citizens. He paid humble tribute to the martyrs and saluted the injured warriors of the revolution.
In his post, Asif Akbar congratulated all participating political parties and expressed his hope for a fair election leading to a democratic government. Describing the Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) as a party of the masses, he stated that following the legacy of Shaheed President Ziaur Rahman and the late leader Begum Khaleda Zia, Tarique Rahman is now leading the party forward. Highlighting women and young voters as the core strength of the BNP, he urged first-time voters to cast their ballots for the 'Sheaf of Paddy' (Dhaner Sheesh).
He expressed confidence that, God willing, the BNP would secure an absolute majority in the February 12 election to form the government and establish a politics of non-violence and development. Concluding his message with the slogan "Everyone has the right to vote, regardless of the symbol," he called upon everyone to cast their valuable votes for 'Dhaner Sheesh' and the 'Yes' vote throughout the day on February 12.
