Nahid Islam’s Visionary Address: 'Building a Just State by Ending Social Inequality'
Reflecting on the spirit of the July 2024 mass uprising, Nahid Islam stated that the political and social systems of the last 55 years were built on a foundation of systemic inequality. He warned that despite the historic uprising aimed at dismantling these structures, certain vested interests are now attempting to resurrect the corrupt and unfair systems of the past through the upcoming election.
The NCP leader emphasized that his party’s mission is to eradicate bribery and the culture of looting state assets. On foreign policy, he advocated for an independent and dignified stance, moving away from any subservient positions and building relationships based on mutual respect and fairness. His manifesto also includes judicial reforms, decentralization of governance, protection of minority rights, and transforming the police force into a non-partisan public safety institution. Furthermore, he vowed to break market syndicates to control inflation and ensure fair prices for farmers.
