Chormonai Pir to Address the Nation Tonight at 6 PM

According to a press release signed by the party's Central Publicity and Dawah Secretary, Sheikh Fazlul Karim Maruf, the speech will be broadcast live on the state-run television channel, Bangladesh Television (BTV).

In his address, the Chormonai Pir is expected to outline his party’s future roadmap for implementing the core objectives and expectations of the 1971 Liberation War and the July-August mass uprising. He is slated to present specific proposals on how Bangladesh’s thousand-year history, traditions, and religious values should be reflected in the fundamental principles of state governance.

The press release further noted that the speech will cover a wide range of topics, including a policy-driven plan for state building, a detailed methodology for state reforms, and a sector-wise development blueprint for the country. Ahead of the national election, the Chormonai Pir will also provide guidance on Islamic principles regarding the electoral process and the importance of voting. A significant portion of the speech is expected to be dedicated to the youth, addressing the new wave of political consciousness that emerged following the events of August 5. Political analysts view the decision to grant the party airtime on state media as a clear indication of Islami Andolan’s growing political influence and its central role in the post-uprising landscape.
