Speaking at an election rally at the Pirojpur Zilla School ground on Friday, he claimed that those who oppose a people's government and wish to keep the nation subjugated were behind the hack and subsequent misinformation.
During the rally, Dr. Rahman alleged that the previous autocratic regime laundered BDT 28 trillion under the guise of mega projects. He vowed that if given the opportunity, every penny of the looted public money would be recovered, and no corrupt individual would be spared. He further promised that merit and patriotism would be the sole criteria for government recruitment and emphasized ensuring safety for women in all spheres. Terming the February 12 referendum as a choice between "Freedom and Slavery," he urged the public to vote 'Yes' to build a corruption-free and just nation.
