Speaking to journalists at the Election Commission (EC) building in Agargaon on Sunday, she explained that according to Islamic teachings, men are the directors of women. As Jamaat is an Islamic organization, she asserted that women leading such an entity would be contrary to the Quran. These details were shared during a press briefing held today, Sunday, at the Election Commission office.

Following a meeting with the Chief Election Commissioner, Jamaat's Assistant Secretary General Ehsanul Mahbub Jubayer highlighted that their female activists are facing various threats during election campaigning. He urged the EC to take effective measures to ensure their safety. Furthermore, the delegation informed the commission about the hacking of Jamaat Ameer Dr. Shafiqur Rahman’s verified 'X' handle. They claimed that the account was compromised to spread derogatory posts about women, emphasizing that it is the responsibility of the government and the EC to identify and punish those involved in this cybercrime.

In a separate session at the EC, BNP Standing Committee member Nazrul Islam Khan demanded that only defined law enforcement agencies be deployed for election duties. He expressed concern over reports of 'Peace Committees' being formed in various areas. Responding to this, Nurunnessa Siddiqua remarked that no rational person or party should oppose a peace committee. It is noteworthy that a General Diary (GD) has already been filed at Hatirjheel Police Station regarding the hacking of the party chief's social media account.
