According to local sources and the National Citizen Party (NCP), a group of unidentified individuals began hurling bricks and stones at the gathering while Abdul Hannan Masud was addressing the crowd. The sudden assault caused panic among supporters. The injured have been identified as Didar Uddin from Ward 8 and Sampad from Ward 5 of Tamoraddi Union, along with one other activist. They received primary medical treatment locally.

This incident follows allegations from Friday night, where NCP leaders claimed local BNP and Jubo Dal activists vandalized one of their campaign offices in the same area.

Shamsul Tabrij, the Convener of the Hatiya NCP unit, condemned the attack, alleging it was a "planned attempt by the BNP" to intimidate voters and disrupt the electoral atmosphere. However, Maher, a former president of the Tamoraddi Union Jubo Dal, denied the allegations, calling the incident a "staged drama" designed to gain political sympathy and malign the 'Sheaf of Paddy' symbol.

Saiful Alam, the Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Hatiya Police Station, confirmed that police and Navy personnel visited the spot immediately after the report. "The situation is currently under control," the OC stated, adding that no written complaint has been filed yet. Legal action will be taken following an investigation once a formal complaint is received.
