NCP Unveils 36-Point Election Manifesto Titled ‘Manifesto of Youth and Dignity’
NCP Convener Nahid Islam and Spokesperson Asif Mahmud, along with other top leaders, were present at the event. Key highlights of the 36-point manifesto include:
Justice & Accountability: Formation of a commission to trial human rights violations during the Awami regime and establishing a ‘Truth and Reconciliation Commission.’
Governance: Mandatory annual wealth disclosure for officials and representatives via the ‘Hisab Dao’ portal.
Economy: Aiming for 1 crore jobs in 5 years, setting a minimum wage of 100 BDT per hour, and reducing inflation to 6%.
Education & Health: Nationalizing 75% of MPO-listed institutions, mandatory 6-month internships for graduates, and introducing National Health Insurance.
Social Security: Using NID as the primary tool for all citizen services and providing direct digital subsidies to farmers.
Women Empowerment: Direct elections for 100 reserved seats in parliament and mandatory 6-month paid maternity leave.
Defense & Sovereignty: Formation of a Drone Brigade and a massive Reserve Force, while ensuring firm diplomacy on border killings and water sharing.
