Tarique Rahman Pledges Padma Barrage to Counter Farakka's Impact

He made this significant pledge while addressing a massive election rally as the chief guest at Rajshahi’s historic Madrasa Maidan today.

This visit marks his first trip to Rajshahi as the party chief, following his last visit back in 2004. Upon arriving at Shah Makhdum Airport at 12:30 PM, he proceeded to the shrine of Hazrat Shah Makhdum (RA) for prayers under tight security before arriving at the rally venue around 1:55 PM.

The city of Rajshahi has been transformed into a festive hub to welcome the leader. Thousands of activists from Rajshahi, Natore, and Chapainawabganj gathered since early morning, carrying colorful banners, placards, and flags. The atmosphere was charged with slogans and enthusiasm as supporters arrived in processions to hear their leader’s vision for the region’s water security and development.
