"We know who assisted the Pakistani army in their atrocities and arson. Apologize to the people for that role in 1971 first, then come to seek their votes," he said.

He made these remarks as the chief guest during an election rally held on Thursday, January 29, at the Chandipur High School grounds in the Thakurgaon-1 constituency.

Criticizing the tenure of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Mirza Fakhrul said, "We were unable to work during Hasina's era. Real development only began after she fled the country. Previously, doubling income from 100 to 200 taka was branded as development, but true development means employment. If agriculture improves, only then will the lives of common people improve."

Labeling the upcoming election as a "turning point" for the nation, he added, "If we fail to make the right decision in the next vote, we will be making a massive mistake. BNP will form the next government, and Tarique Rahman will be the Prime Minister. Upon returning to the country after 18 years, he presented a development plan on his very first day, which includes 'Family Cards' for our mothers."

The BNP leader explained that these Family Cards would provide households with affordable education and healthcare. Additionally, "Agriculture Cards" would be issued to farmers to ensure easy access to fertilizers and seeds. He emphasized that Tarique Rahman’s primary goal is job creation and enhancing the standard of living.

The rally was attended by various levels of local BNP leaders and thousands of voters, whom he urged to strengthen Tarique Rahman’s leadership by voting for the "Sheaf of Paddy" (Dhaner Sheerh) symbol.
