Reflecting on the long absence of democratic practices, Fakhrul stated, "It has been 15 years since I last contested a parliamentary election properly. In the intervening years, the fascist regime and biased administration stripped the people of their right to vote. This time, we anticipate a genuine election where every citizen can cast their ballot freely."

Highlighting the shift in the political landscape, he noted that the traditional battle between the 'Boat' and 'Sheaf of Paddy' symbols is absent this time because the "Boat has fled." He remarked that while Hasina has left the country, her supporters are facing the consequences, and BNP is stepping up to ensure the safety of the innocent among them.

Addressing the minority communities, the BNP leader offered words of reassurance: "To our Hindu brothers, I say—do not worry. We are with you. While those guilty of crimes will face justice, the common people who have done no wrong will be protected and embraced by us."
