Mahmud declared that there would be no compromise on the development of Muradnagar or the dignity of its citizens. He stated that if any group attempts to take over a voting center, the common people must step forward and provide a decisive response. During his address, he urged voters to support Yusuf Sohel, the candidate for the 11-party alliance, who is contesting with the ‘Scales’ (Daripalla) symbol.

During the speech, Mahmud claimed that while he has worked tirelessly for his birthplace, some local political representatives previously lobbied high-level government officials to prevent Muradnagar from receiving a fair budget allocation. He asserted that the era of local goon-led dominance, specifically mentioning the "Dada Bahini," is over, promising a political environment free from intimidation. Mahmud also announced that if the 11-party alliance is elected, Bangura Bazar will be upgraded to a full upazila, and he campaigned for a "Yes" vote in the upcoming national referendum.

Alliance candidate Yusuf Sohel joined the call for resistance, stating that the February 12 vote is a struggle against hegemony and extortion. He warned that any obstacles to voting would trigger a "fire of resistance" starting from Muradnagar. Local leaders, including Cumilla North District Jamaat Secretary Saiful Islam Shahid, reiterated the alliance's stance against dual citizenship holders in parliament and urged the public to vote for justice and integrity.
