The Jamaat leader emphasized a vision of a business environment free from extortion and a governance system focused on public service. "If Jamaat-e-Islami takes office, Jashore city will be upgraded to an advanced City Corporation to ensure modern urban facilities for its residents," he stated as the chief guest of the event.

Regarding the upcoming national referendum scheduled for February 12, Dr. Rahman issued a cautionary note, claiming that certain quarters are secretly dissatisfied with the vote. "If the 'Yes' vote prevails, the lucrative business of partisan extortionists will end. That is why they remain silent despite their opposition," he remarked. He further asserted that the 18 crore people of the country support the referendum, adding, "A defeat for 'Yes' is a defeat for Bangladesh. Without a 'Yes' victory, forming a new government will yield no benefit."

Addressing women's safety during the election campaign, the Jamaat Ameer warned against any form of harassment or eve-teasing. He urged the public to report violations of the electoral code of conduct to the Commission but added a stern warning: "Harassment of our mothers and sisters will not be tolerated. Resistance will be built wherever such incidents occur."

Dr. Rahman also called upon the Election Commission (EC) to maintain absolute neutrality and act as representatives of the people rather than any specific political party.

At the same rally, the party's Secretary General, Mia Golam Porwar, alleged that a "vested evil force" is actively campaigning for a 'No' vote to undermine the spirit of the July mass uprising and reinstate corruption and misrule.
