Tarique Rahman’s Rajshahi Visit Postponed by a Day Due to Ticket Unavailability
The decision was announced during a preparatory meeting held on Saturday night at the residence of Mizanur Rahman Minu, the BNP candidate for the Rajshahi-2 (Sadar) constituency and Advisor to the BNP Chairperson. Minu informed the media that the party chairman personally called him to explain the situation, citing the logistical challenge of securing airline tickets for Wednesday.
According to the updated itinerary, Tarique Rahman will address a massive election rally as the chief guest at the historic Madrasa Field (Haji Mohammad Mohsin Government High School playground) at 12:30 PM on January 29. During the event, he is expected to formally introduce the party’s candidates to the public and seek votes for the "Sheaf of Paddy" (Dhaner Sheesh) symbol.
The upcoming visit has generated significant enthusiasm among BNP leaders and activists across the Rajshahi region. Local units of the BNP and its associate organizations are working extensively to ensure the rally's success. Despite the one-day delay, party leaders expressed confidence that the gathering will be one of the largest in Rajshahi's political history.
