On Saturday morning, January 24, Dr. Rahman offered prayers and laid wreaths at Abu Sayed's grave in Babonpur village. Following the visit, he met with the martyr's family to offer condolences and support.

Addressing the gathered youth, the Jamaat Ameer stated, "Abu Sayed and his comrades have provided us with a platform through their ultimate sacrifice. It is now our responsibility to protect that trust. We envision a Bangladesh where there is no room for corruption, terrorism, or hegemonism. We want to hand over the keys of leadership to the youth and support them from behind."

Commenting on the current political landscape, he urged the public to remain as vigilant as they were during the July revolution to ensure that no one can manipulate the people's voting rights. "We do not believe in personal revenge or extortion," he added. "To prevent national division, ten parties have united to field candidates across 300 seats based on a mutual consensus."

Dr. Shafiqur Rahman demanded a swift trial for the murder of Abu Sayed and affirmed that his party would stand by the martyr's family with the highest honor. He emphasized that regardless of the situation, the party leadership would remain in the country with the people.

The event was attended by central and local Jamaat leaders, representatives from the 10-party alliance partner NCP, and leaders of Islami Chhatra Shibir. As part of his North Bengal tour, the Ameer is scheduled to address further rallies in Gaibandha, Sirajganj, and Pabna later today.
