Speaking at an election rally in Rangpur on Friday (January 23, 2026), he urged the public, "We have come to your doorstep with a message of harmony; test us for at least five years."

Dr. Rahman alleged that for the past 17 years, Jamaat activists were denied their basic rights as citizens. He warned that those who were once victims of oppression but have now turned into oppressors themselves will face a "red card" from the public. Earlier, at a rally in Thakurgaon, he outlined three conditions for nation-building: an anti-corruption stance, an independent judiciary, and a commitment to state reform. Following his North Bengal tour, which includes visiting the grave of Shaheed Abu Sayed, Dr. Rahman is scheduled to campaign in several Dhaka constituencies this Sunday.
