No Punishment for Innocent AL Workers: Mirza Fakhrul in Thakurgaon
Speaking at an election rally in Sholtihari Bazar on Friday afternoon (January 23, 2026), Fakhrul criticized former PM Sheikh Hasina for leaving her supporters behind while fleeing to India. He stated, "We want to tell the supporters—do not be afraid. We are by your side. Only those who committed crimes will be punished, but we won't let any innocent person suffer."
Reflecting on the past 15 years, Fakhrul noted that people finally have the opportunity to exercise their right to vote and urged them to support the "Sheaf of Paddy" (Dhannery Sheesh) symbol. Highlighting communal harmony, the 78-year-old leader emphasized that Hindus and Muslims should work together for regional development. He asserted that BNP is a proven party capable of creating jobs and improving infrastructure, and called upon voters to choose experienced leadership for the country's progress.
