Alluding to leaders of the NCP and Jamaat, he remarked that while the BNP is committed to the election, the constant misinformation spread by opponents is testing their patience. In a defiant tone, he stated that he would no longer respond to such provocations, asserting his deep-rooted identity and commitment to the nation. He emphasized that he is not a rootless individual and pledged to defend the country's sovereignty against any fraudsters or opportunists until his last breath.

The former minister also criticized some contemporary political figures for their perceived greed for power. Drawing a parallel between current movements and the BNP's historic struggles, he noted that they had successfully ousted autocrats like Ershad and Hasina in the past without demanding ministerial positions in return. He advised younger politicians to learn the art of politics with patience and to focus on national development rather than personal gain. While welcoming healthy political competition, he warned that any ill-motivated actions or misdeeds would be met with a fitting response from the BNP. The event was also addressed by senior party leaders, including Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir.
