NCP announces candidates for 27 seats
On Sunday (18 January), the party posted the names and posters of the 27 candidates on its verified Facebook page. Key candidates include Dhaka–11’s Convener Nahid Islam, Rangpur–4’s Secretary Akhtar Hossain, Comilla–4’s South Region Chief Organizer Hasnat Abdullah, Panchagarh–1’s North Region Chief Organizer Sarjis Alam, Dhaka–8’s Chief Coordinator Nasiruddin Patwary, and Noakhali–6’s Senior Joint Chief Coordinator Abdul Hannan Masud.
The names and photos of candidates for other constituencies are also published on the Facebook post. NCP decided to contest 30 seats after joining the Jamaat-led alliance. In total, the party submitted nomination papers for 47 constituencies nationwide.
