Speaking at a press conference on Friday (January 16) at the party’s central office in Purana Paltan, spokesperson Gazi Ataur Rahman confirmed that the party will field candidates in 268 constituencies where their nominations have been validated. He emphasized that their goal is to consolidate the votes of Islamic forces into a single platform.

The spokesperson also expressed concerns regarding a potential "staged election." He criticized the Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami for discussing seat-sharing arrangements with BNP leader Tarique Rahman without consulting Islami Andolan. This lack of transparency led to suspicion and mistrust, ultimately prompting the party to move forward alone.
