Major Shake-up in Bangladesh Police: New SPs Appointed to 12 Districts

According to a notification issued on Tuesday (May 5), these appointments cover the districts of Panchagarh, Bandarban, Joypurhat, Pabna, Nilphamari, Narail, Satkhira, Chandpur, Jhalokathi, Moulvibazar, Chittagong, and Feni. The ministry stated that this order, issued in the public interest, will come into effect immediately.

Under the new directives, Mizanur Rahman from APBN-2 (Muktagacha) has been moved to Panchagarh, Wahabul Islam Khandaker of SB to Bandarban, and Shahnaz Begum from the Dhaka Range DIG office to Joypurhat. Furthermore, Chufi Ullah has been posted to Pabna, Farhad Hossain Khan to Nilphamari, and Mallick Ahsan Uddin Sami to Narail. Abu Saleh Md. Ashraful Alam will take charge in Satkhira, while the current SP of Jhalokathi, Mizanur Rahman, has been transferred to Chandpur. To fill the vacancy in Jhalokathi, Pratyush Kumar Majumder of CID has been appointed. Additionally, Riazul Islam has been assigned to Moulvibazar, Masud Alam to Chittagong, and Mohammad Mahbub Alam Khan to Feni as the new Superintendents of Police.
