The Prime Minister shared this vision during a question-and-answer session in the National Parliament at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 29, 2026. He revealed that a target has been set to plant 500,000 trees in the Dhaka North City Corporation area over the next five years to restore environmental balance. Furthermore, a comprehensive masterplan has been adopted to implement modern waste management systems aimed at achieving "Zero Waste" status for the city.

Addressing the issue of the capital’s growing population pressure, the Prime Minister stated that the government is striving to decentralize basic civic amenities by delivering them to every district and upazila level. He expressed optimism that ensuring advanced services at the rural level would significantly reduce the migration pressure on Dhaka. By strengthening local infrastructure, the government aims to create a more balanced distribution of the population across the country.

On the topics of social safety nets and maternal and child development, the Prime Minister informed the House that financial assistance has already been provided to 37,814 female heads of households under the government’s Family Card program. However, he clarified that the government has no plans to print new currency for the Family Card and Farmer Card initiatives. Additionally, there are plans to modernize the existing Maternal and Child Support Program. This initiative aims to increase the number of beneficiaries while incorporating essential services such as prenatal and postnatal healthcare, vaccinations, and institutional delivery to ensure the well-being of future generations.
