Following a cabinet committee meeting on Monday, the minister stated that the project is currently in its pilot phase and the government is focused on refining its implementation process. He noted that over 37,000 cards have already been distributed, with errors accounting for less than one percent. The current priority is to identify and fix these minor discrepancies to ensure a flawless rollout in the upcoming budget.

The Finance Minister emphasized that the Family Card is not just a social welfare scheme but a humanitarian effort to empower women and deliver services directly to rural doorsteps. He assured that budget constraints would not hinder the project, stating that the government is committed to providing all necessary funding. Along with Social Welfare Minister A.Z.M. Zahid Hossain, he reiterated that the screening process will be tightened to ensure that no eligible person is left behind and no undeserving individual is included.
